Julie works primarily out of the Crown Point office and utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to assist children, adolescents, and adults to process their past and ongoing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which are impeding their goal achievement, happiness, and overall well-being. Julie is also at the Wheatfield office one day a week.

Experience

Julie has served in a variety of home and social service settings including first steps in-home services, elementary schools (familiar with IEP development), residential facilities for troubled youth, court-appointed special advocacy, and various agencies with focuses on assisting those with developmental delays or child abuse or neglect.

Therapy Focus

Julie believes that since every situation and perspective is different, so should be their guidance towards overcoming their obstacles and achieving their goals.  Julie uses person-centered therapy along with CBT and strengthens perspective to enhance each individual's confidence, assertiveness, and empowerment to obtain a life of hope, peace, and joy.

Activities

In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.  She enjoys going to the beach, hiking, kayaking, camping, having backyard bonfires, and taking time to enjoy the beauty of God's creation.
